THE INTRODUCTION: THE CELEBRATION OF OUR CREATOR’S CARE THE FIRST DAY: Genesis 1:1-5
P: (James 1:17,18) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
C: Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.
P: Psalm 136: lOh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
C:For His mercy endures forever.
The Prayer
Let all things now living A song of thanksgiving To God the creator triumphantly raise,
Who fashioned and made us, Protected and stayed us,
Who still guides us on to the end of our days.
God’s banners are o’er us, His light goes before us,
A pillar of fire shining forth in the night,
Till shadows have vanished And darkness is banished,
As forward we travel from light into light. His law He enforces, The stars in their courses
And sun in its orbit obediently shine;
The hills and the mountains, The rivers and fountains,
The deeps of the ocean proclaim Him divine.
We too should be voicing our love and rejoicing;
With glad adoration a song let us raise
Till all things now living Unite in thanksgiving:
To God in the highest, hosanna and praise!”

HYMN 39 1,2
Luther’s explanation to the First Article
I believe that God has created me and all creatures. He has given me my body and life, eves, ears, and all my bodily members, my mind and all my senses, and still keeps them for me.
God also preserves me by richly and daily providing clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, wife and children, land, animals, and all my property and all I need to support this body and life. He protects me from all danger. He guards and defends me from every evil.
God does all this because He is my good and gracious Father in heaven, not because of anything I have done to earn or deserve it. For all of this it is my duty to thank, praise, serve, and obey Him. This is most certainly true.

THE PRAYERS
THE LORD’S PRAYER SUNG AS FOLLOWS TO THE MELODY OF HYMN 465
Our heav’nlv Father, hear Your faithful children’s prayer:
Your name, divine and dear, be hallowed ev’rywhere!
Your kingdom come! Your heav’nly will
Among us, still, on earth be done!
The bread for which we yearn each day, 0 Father, give.
Forgive us, as in turn our debtors we forgive.
Your people lead in trial’s hour.
From Satan’s pow’r let us be freed!
For you, 0 Lord, are King; all power is Yours, we own
Your glory now we sing. the glory Yours alone.
So shall it be: Your kingdom, might,
And glory bright, eternally!
THE BENEDICTION Amen, Amen, Amen.
