- 01/12/2014: Two new students are enrolled in the Christian Day School
- 03/05/2014: Lenten services begin with soup suppers prior to each service. The theme for the sermons is “The Stones Cry Out.”
- 03/14-16/2014: 5 Grace children compete with Berea at the CLC Grade School tournament in Eau Claire, WI.
- 03/23/2014: The Immanuel Lutheran Tour Choir from Eau Claire, WI, presents a concert of sacred music at the Sunday morning worship service.
- 04/03/2014: Grace school presents a student fair on various books
- 04/16/2014: Grace field trip to “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs” at the Stages Theater Company in Hopkins
- 04/20/2014: Easter worship with breakfast prior the service.
- 04/22-25/2014: Grace students complete the Iowa Basics Testing
- 05/09/2014: Field Day for Grace School students at Berea in Inver Grove Heights
- 05/22/2014: Spring Program by Grace School students. The play “The Fastest Thimble in the West” is presented.
- 05/23/2014: Last day for Christian Day School as summer break begins.
- 05/24/2014: Immanuel Graduation including Brandon Wendland, a member of our congregation
- 06/01/2014: Minnesota Delegate Conference is held at Sleepy Eye
- 06/05/2014: Approx. 43 students, parents, friends and supporters of our Christian Day School participate in the Spring Lake Park Tower Days Parade
- 06/16-19/2014: CLC Convention is held with Grace delegation including Pastor Hein, Benno Sydow, and Al Rosendahl. Benno Sydow also chairs one of the floor committees.
- 07/14/2014: A flyer team from the CLC’s Traveling Vacation Bible School program, along with volunteers from Grace, distribute information about the upcoming Vacation Bible School
- 08/04-08/2014: Vacation Bible School is held with 34 souls attending. The theme of the week is “A Day in the Courts of the Lord,” a five lesson study of the Church and churches, their blessings, how we are to act in church, and our service to the Lord’s Church.
- 08/10/2014: Vicar Rob Sauers from Immanuel Lutheran Seminary in Eau Claire, WI, begins his vicarage at Grace and serves until 09/24/2014.
- 08/25/2014: Classes begin at Immanuel with 5 students from Grace. Also, opening service is held for Grace School with 15 students initially enrolled, including 2 in kindergarten. 2 more students join the student body during the Fall.
- 09/14/2014: The annual church picnic is held on church grounds
- 09/21/2014: Pastor Hein installs Pastor Delwyn Maas at Gift of God Lutheran in Mapleton, ND
- 09/28/2014: Pastor Emeritus Daniel Fleischer installs Pastor Joel Fleischer at Berea Lutheran in Sioux Falls, SD, with Pastor Hein as guest preacher
- 10/05/2014: Presentation during Bible class by Steve Kuehne, a member at Berea in Inver Grove Heights, about evaluation of various Lutheran hymnals
- 10/07-08/2014: Pastor attends and chairs Minnesota Pastoral Conference at Morris, MN
- 10/12/2014: Mission Festival with Vicar Rob Sauers as guest speaker followed by potluck meal and blood drive. Vicar Sauers had a presentation about his Mission Helper trip to Nepal during Bible class.
- 10/14/2014: Grace field trip to the pumpkin patch at Waldoch Farm
- 10/15-17/2014: Mrs. Hein attends the CLC Teachers’ Conference in Fond du Lac, WI
- 10/19/2014: Creation seminar by Dr. David Menton during morning Bible class with the theme “Three Ways to Make an Ape Man.”
- 10/26/2014: A joint Minnesota Reformation Festival is held at Immanuel Lutheran in Mankato, MN, Pastor Hein as featured presenter on “Faith of Our Fathers,” considering various evnts which compelled various hymn writers to pen their inspirational hymns
- 11/01/2014: A bridal shower is held for Abbie Hein
- 10/09/2014: A fund is established for replacement of the parking lot
- 11/09/2014: A new book by Pastor Emeritus Daniel Fleischer is announced. It is entitled “Standing on the Wall – A Witness of Faith in a Dying World” and contains articles that he has written over the years.
- 11/26/2014: Mid-week Advent worship services begin with meditations on “Isaiah’s Royal Prophecies”
- 12/2014: The first issue of the Grace Lutheran Church Newsletter is distributed
- 12/17/2014: Grace school presents concert at Northtown Mall
- 12/17/2014: Candlelight worship service with congregational Christmas meal prior to the service
- 12/19/2014: Bus trip to the Immanuel Christmas concert in Eau Claire, WI
- 12/21/2014: Christmas caroling to shut-ins
- 12/24/2014: Christmas Eve worship service with children presenting the timeless and treasured Christmas message as we give “Glory to the Newborn King”
- 12/31/2014: New Year’s Eve Communion service followed by fellowship.
